The Met Office, a monsoon westerly wave will arrive in Pakistan on Monday and bring rain from July 3 to July 8.
Monsoon begins in Pakistan today: On Monday evening and throughout the night, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted showers, thunderstorms, and heavy rainfall in some areas.
This weather system will cause rain to fall on 7 and 8 July in the Sindh districts of Karachi, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Ghotki, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Mithi, Chhor, Padidan, Nagarparkar, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Dadu, Thatta, Badin, and Hyderabad.
From July 4 to 7, rain and thunderstorms will fall in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, among other places.
Bannu, Karak, Waziristan, D.I. Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sahiwal, and Okara are also likely to have rain, wind, and thundershowers with isolated heavy rainfall from July 5 to 8.
The hill torrent of Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding parts of northeast Balochistan could see flash floods as a result of heavy rains, according to the Met Office.
The hazardous regions of Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Galliyat, and the mountainous regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could possibly see landslides as a result of the heavy rains.
Low lying parts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Gujranwala, and Lahore may experience urban flooding as a result of heavy rain.
The general public is recommended to seek shelter in safe locations during dust storms, wind-thunderstorms, and heavy falls because loose infrastructure, such as power poles and solar panels, may be damaged.
