NA passes resolution demanding military trial: The resolution was introduced during the currently taking place assembly session, which began after a two-day break.

According to Khawaja Asif, a party and its leader attacked military outposts on May 9 and demanded “immediate punishment” for those responsible.

“All those involved in attacking military installations should be tried under the Army Act 1952,” Asif continued.

Abdul Akbar Chitrali, an MNA representing Jamaat-e-Islami, opposed the resolution that demanded the civilians be tried in a military court.

“Justice should be served against those responsible for the May 9 disturbances, but not by military tribunals. For individuals suspected of engaging in terrorist activities, the nation has anti-terrorist courts, he noted.

The man stated, “If the government accepts courts and government failure. Sending civilians to military courts is okay.”

Additionally, He asserted that JI opposes civilians being tried in military courts. “The military courts ought to be spared us.”

Former PM Imran Khan was taken into custody outside the courthouse on May 9 concerning a fraud investigation. Furthermore, This led to violent protests erupting throughout Pakistan.
