Nawaz Sharif, a former prime minister and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), announced on Tuesday that he would return to Pakistan on October 21.

She continued, “Nawaz Sharif will receive a magnificent welcome when he returns home.

According to reports, Nawaz will head up the PML-N’s election campaign when he returns to Pakistan in September. However, it was determined Nawaz would postpone his return until a later time during the Nawaz-Shehbaz meeting.

In London today, Shehbaz and Nawaz addressed the media and revealed that they had made the decision about the PML-N supremo’s homecoming after consulting with the party.

Shehbaz responded to a question by saying that Nawaz Sharif would arrive in Lahore and receive a heralded welcome.

The entire country anticipates Nawaz Sharif’s return. After Nawaz Sharif’s dismissal from office and declaration of ineligibility for reelection in 2017, Shehbaz predicted that the nation and its economy would continue moving forward in the same manner.

Shehbaz had declared in July that Nawaz would be the PML-N’s nominee for the position of prime minister if the party won the next elections.

Nawaz has lived in exile since 2019, largely in London, since the Panama Papers case resulted in his lifetime ban from politics.

After the Senate approved changes to the Election Act, which altered the time restrictions for how long a parliamentarian can be disqualified, the likelihood of Sharif’s comeback grew.

According to the regulations approved by the upper house on June 17, a person’s prohibition from running for provincial or central legislatures will not exceed five years in circumstances where the period has not been specified.

On November 19, 2019, the Islamabad High Court released Sharif on bail from a seven-year sentence for corruption, after which he left for London. His bail in the Al Azizia case was grant for eight weeks based on medical justification.

Further, He was diagnose with an immune system problem. The 70-year-old PML-N leader received bail in two corruption cases, and the National Accountability Bureau filed a new reference against him.
