Canada’s accusations that India was responsible for the murder of a Sikh politician did not surprise Pakistan’s foreign minister, Syrus Qazi, because India had previously engaged in sabotage actions there.
Not surprised Pakistan on Canada’s allegations: Speaking to the media at Pakistan’s UN mission, Qazi asserted that the Canadian prime minister’s accusation that India was responsible for the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar could not be false.
In light of India’s involvement in attempts to sow unrest in Pakistan, he continued, the declaration was scarcely surprising. He stated that Pakistan was holding a serving officer from the Indian navy on suspicion of espionage and sabotage.
According to Qazi, Pakistan is the nation that knows India the best in the entire world.
Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, will bring up Kashmir in his address to the UN general assembly, the foreign secretary also said.
He added that Kakar would attend a reception hosted by US President Joe Biden as well, which the UN secretary general regularly hosts for world leaders.
“Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged that the Indian government has potential links to the death of a Sikh leader in Canada, leading him to call an urgent meeting of the House of Commons.” Additionally, he brought up the issue with the senior US and UK officials.
