attack film set in Karachi: A mob attacked many celebrities, including the drama actors Hira Mani and Gul-e-Rana and the film director Nabeel Qureshi, when they were filming a new project in Karachi’s PIB Colony.
The mob misbehaved with the actors and other crew members at the shoot, East Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zubair Nazeer confirmed on Tuesday in response to the incident. Two suspects were arrested.
He claimed that the locals objected to the shooting happening in their neighbourhood. At the police station in Jamshed Quarters, a case has been filed.
Qureshi tweeted information about the incident on his social media accounts on Monday, labelling it “horrific”. He claimed that the mob threatened actors, assaulted cast members, and confiscated their mobile phones and other tools.
The filmmaker of “Load Wedding” claimed in a series of tweets that the attackers carried weapons.
To make a lesson out of the tragedy and assure the continued safety of Pakistan’s artistic community, Qureshi urged the authorities to take harsh measures against the offenders.
Mahira Khan, a renowned actress in Pakistan, responded by saying: “This beyond belief! Who is accountable? Who will be held responsible?”

Hira meanwhile expressed her desire for such a “unfortunate tragedy” to never occur in anyone’s life.
She posted on her Instagram account, “The law and order situation in the country is getting [worse] day by day […] the government should instruct the forces to talk strict action against the persons participating in this.”
Only they knew how they managed to withstand the attack for two hours, according to actor Gul-e-Rana. She said, “If we weren’t brave enough, you’d be picking up dead bodies.”
Additionally, well-known actor Ahsan Khan from movies and plays decried the situation, saying that “security is a requirement for communities like Jamshed Quarters.” Additionally, he requested that law enforcement agencies respond right away.
He stated in an Instagram story that “what happened to Nabeel and his crew is not OK and we should all stand up for them.”
