Dr. Asad Majeed Khan, the foreign secretary of Pakistan, and Shigeo Yamada, his counterpart from Japan, held bilateral political consultations on a number of crucial topics pertaining to Pakistan-Japan relations on Tuesday in Tokyo.
Pak-Japan hold bilateral ties: The two sides agreed to preserve, promote, and expand the long-standing, strong relationship. Furthermore, they thoroughly examined significant regional and global topics.
The foreign secretary also visited Takei Shunsuke, the state minister for international affairs of Japan, and Takeo Akiba, the national security adviser.
He also spoke with the president of the Japan-Pakistan Association, Shun Imaizumi.
In their separate conversations with the foreign secretary, the Japanese side extended their sympathies and best wishes for the people and government of Pakistan.
The Japanese government expressed their anticipation for the planned trip of Pakistan’s foreign minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, to Japan in the first week of July.
