Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian, several agreements between Pakistan and Iran were signed on Thursday.

The FM declared, “We have historical and fraternal relations with Iran.”

He added that Pakistan wishes to increase its cooperation with Iran in a number of areas.

FM Bilawal stated that his first trip to Iran took place in June and that throughout the previous 15 months, the administration had worked nonstop to boost the country’s economy.

He told the reporters that he and his Iranian colleague had a fruitful conversation about a number of topics, saying that Pakistan plays a significant role in the area.

Bilawal added that everyone must put up significant effort to eradicate Islamophobia while also suggesting that the Economic Cooperation Organization’s purview be expanded.

The Iranian minister began by expressing sympathy to the people and government of Pakistan for the Bajaur explosion.

He added that Iran sought to increase trade between the two nations and that the gas pipeline project was in the interests of both nations.

“Work on economy, trade, and culture is going on in both countries,” he continued.

Abdollahian noted that he spoke with his colleague in Pakistan on the gas pipeline project.

He promoted a cooperative investment project between Iran, China, and Pakistan, saying that the creation of border markets eased commerce.

On Thursday, Bilawal welcomed the Iranian foreign minister at the Islamabad Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

FM Bilawal welcomed the Iranian visitor as he arrived at the FO.

At the Foreign Office, the two counterparts also planted a pine tree in honour of their friendship.

At the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Iranian minister and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari also had extensive delegation-level discussions about the developing regional situation and every facet of bilateral relations.

On the invitation of FM Bilawal, the Iranian foreign minister arrived in Islamabad for a three-day official visit to Pakistan.
