Pakistan and US discuss economic trade: According to a press statement, US Ambassador Donald Blome met with Dr. Gohar Ejaz, Federal Minister for Commerce, Industries, and Production, at the Ministry of Commerce.
Exploring possible chances to increase trade in a variety of industries, such as textile, value-added food goods, fresh mangoes and dates, soybeans, and cattle, was one of the meeting’s main highlights.
According to Minister Ejaz, the government has established a Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) with the goal of luring investments into a variety of industries, including mines and minerals, agriculture, information technology, and energy.
He emphasised that more US businesses might look into the possibility of investing in these industries.
With the ambassador, the minister also discussed the government’s initiatives for an economic recovery plan, highlighting the significance of economic growth for Pakistan’s future and thanking the US government for its ongoing support.
