A sickness has swept through the Pakistani team, and several players have called in sick before their ICC World Cup match against Australia.

Pakistan squad hit viral infection: The Pakistani team is currently based in Bengaluru and will play their next game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on October 20.

The media manager for Pakistan, Ahsan Iftikhar Nagi, stated, “Some players had fever in the previous few days, but the most of them have totally recovered. The team medical panel continues to monitor those who are in the recovery stage. Today from 6 to 8 o’clock, Pakistan will train at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Pakistan’s World Cup campaign in Hyderabad got off to a great start with victories against Sri Lanka and the Netherlands in their opening two games. They were, however, soundly defeated by India on October 14 in Ahmedabad.

The team would be hopeful that everyone will be healthy and available for the Australia encounter on October 20 in Bengaluru once their rehabilitation is swiftly finished. They currently have four points from three games, which puts them in fourth place overall in the World Cup standings.
