Prior to the 2023 World Cup in India, the Pakistan cricket squad encountered serious visa-related difficulties. Their tournament preparation plans were hamperedby the delay in the visa approval. The International Cricket Council (ICC) had received complaints from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on this delay, indicating that it was harming the team’s readiness for the occasion.
Just two days before the team’s scheduled departure for Hyderabad for their opening exhibition game against New Zealand, they finally received visa approvals on September 25.
