Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) documentary on the history of the game omitted cricketing legend Imran Khan, sparking criticism.

PCB comes under fire for minus-Imran video: Khan, a former cricket player who is now 70, helped Pakistan win the Cricket World Cup in 1992, turning him into a national hero.

Later, he developed a political career and was Pakistan’s prime minister from 2018 to 2022.

The former cricketer-turned-politician is currently imprisoned on corruption allegations after being found guilty in the Toshakhana case and given a three-year prison sentence. Subsequently, the election commission prohibited him from standing for office for five years.

Once the cricket organization posted the video on its official social media pages, Pakistanis initiated criticism, asserting that Khan was one of the greatest players ever.

These are a few of the responses:

Over the course of his long cricket career, Khan participated in 175 One-Day Internationals and 88 Tests for Pakistan.

His averages of 37 with the bat and 22 with the ball maintained him at the top of the group of elite all-rounders who made an impression on everyone in Test cricket in the 1980s, along with Ian Botham, Richard Hadlee, and Kapil Dev.

However, Khan played in 51 Test matches throughout the course of his final ten years of international cricket, averaging a staggering 50 with the bat and 19 with the ball.

The biggest event of Khan’s career came when the Men in Gren won the 1992 World Cup trophy under his inspired leadership. He also guided Pakistan to their first series victory in England in 1987.
