The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday the itinerary for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka that will take place next month.
PCB confirms schedule for Sri Lanka: The cricket board confirmed in a press statement that Pakistan will play their first Test in Galle, where they set a record-breaking chase there last year.
The authorities will announce the location of the warm-up game closer to the time. The second Test will take place at the Singhalese Sports Club in Colombo from July 24 to July 28.
Babar Azam’s team will travel to Sri Lanka on July 9 for their first assignment in the 2023–25 cycle of the ICC World Test Championship. On July 11 and 12, they will play a two-day warm-up match before travelling further south for the first Test. Additionally, the organizers will announce the location of the warm-up game closer to the time.
However, In July 2022, Pakistan last visited Sri Lanka, and the two-match Test series ended in a tie. The first Test was won by Pakistan by four wickets after they reached the target of 342 to record the greatest run chase at the venue. With a 246-run victory in the second Test, the hosts came back to even the series.
