The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) resolved to have a third round of consultation on the appointment of a caretaker setup following the dissolution of the legislatures on Monday.
PDM hold third meeting for caretaker setup: The PPP and PML-N have increased their efforts to come to an agreement on the caretaker structure as the dissolution of the assembly gets closer. According to sources, the two parties want to hold a third round of negotiations to hasten the process.
After making contact, both parties have decided to meet today to discuss important matters. The establishment of the caretaker setup to run the nation’s affairs until the election of a new government will be the main topic of discussion at this conference.
According to PPP sources, their party has already finished the process of seeking input from other parties and considering candidates to serve as caretaker prime minister. During today’s discussion with the PML-N, they have expressed their readiness to introduce their candidature for the coveted position.
Reports state that Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of the PPP and a former president, played a crucial role in ensuring the selection of the right people to fill the position of caretaker prime minister.
