PM and COAS celebrate Eid in Parachinar: According to a news release from the PM’s office, PM Shehbaz and the army commander performed Eid prayers at Parachinar town in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) with soldiers and officials.
The ministers of finance, Ishaq Dar, of defence, Khawaja Asif, and of information, Marriyum Aurangzeb, joined the prime minister.
On this joyous occasion, PM Shehbaz and the army chief welcomed the soldiers and encouraged them through conversation.
Speaking at the event, the prime minister praised the Pakistani army’s military readiness and professionalism. He spoke to the commanders and said, “I am spending Eid with you today along with the chief of army staff.
He said he had come to show his appreciation for the officers and officials of the army who, with daring and bravery, guarded the motherland’s frontiers.
“Pakistan army officers performed their duty of protection, defence and security of the motherland, disregarding their personal comfort and peace,” he continued.

Further, PM Shehbaz added that regardless of the occasion, including Eid, or the seriousness of the occurrence, officers and troops prioritised their responsibility to defend the nation.
Additionally, he said he was grateful for the efforts of the personnel in the army, navy, and air force who were doing their part to guard the borders despite great obstacles.
The prime minister reiterated his conviction that they will not allow terrorists, their financiers, and facilitators—who have disrupted peace—to hide. The “Pakistani nation has failed the nefarious designs of the forces that created mischief, disorder, and chaos in the country,” he continued.
Furthermore, He added that the martyrs were the pride of Pakistan and the nation, and their respect and dignity are beyond everything else. He stated, “We have defeated the forces that aimed to create division and rift among the nation for their nefarious agenda.”
The PM also said prayers and laid flowers at the martyrs’ memorial.
The prime minister was welcomed upon arrival by COAS Asim Munir earlier. Senior members of the province government were also there, in addition to the commander of the 11 Corps.
