Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will chair a 14-member committee to decide the participation of the Pakistan cricket team in the World Cup, which will take place in India this year.
PM forms committee Pakistan’s visit India for WC: The committee, chaired by the Foreign Minister, comprises the Interior Minister, the Law Minister, the Inter-Provincial Coordination Minister, the Information and Broadcasting Minister, the Advisor on Kashmir Affairs, the Establishment Advisor, the Foreign Secretary, PSPM, and representatives of secret agencies and sensitive departments.
Sources have granted permission to the committee to consider Pakistan’s participation in the World Cup.
PM Shehbaz will make the final choice after hearing the committee’s recommendations about Pakistan’s team’s participation in the ODI World Cup in India.
The news comes after the PCB requested official approval to travel to India for the ODI World Cup in October-November in a letter to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the interior ministry, and the foreign ministry.
Further, The PCB sent the government a letter outlining Pakistan’s itinerary, which states that the team will play its nine league games across five cities, including the pivotal match against India on October 15 in Ahmedabad.
Additionally, On October 5, the largest cricket stadium in the world, located in Ahmedabad, India, will host the opening match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. Additionally, the stadium will serve as the site for the championship game.
However, On October 15 in Ahmedabad, Pakistan and India will face off in the competition.
