Anwaarul Haq Kakar, the interim prime minister, left for New York on Sunday to represent Pakistan at the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session.
PM Kakar leaves US: According to a press statement from the PM Office Media Wing, the acting prime minister will meet with world leaders outside of the meeting during his visit.
The acting prime minister will also go to a significant climate change summit.
PM Kakar also has appointments with important US think institutions and foreign media outlets.
PM Kakar will attend an SDG summit during his visit to the UN headquarters, according to Pakistan’s UN representative MuÂnir Akram, who made the announcement at a news briefing in New York on Wednesday.
The General Assembly will hold the SDG summit in New York on September 18 and 19 as part of its high-level week.
Ambassador Akram stated that the prime minister will discuss the fundraising for the SDGs. The big event, of course, will be his yearly policy announcement in his presentation to the General Assembly.
According to the envoy, the prime minister will also deliver the keynote address at another summit on funding for development.
