Anwaarul Haq Kakar, the interim prime minister, praised Pakistan’s relationship with its neighbour as “made in heaven” during his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday.

PM Kakar praises Pak-China partnership: At a meeting outside of the third Belt and Road Forum (BRF) for International Cooperation, the premier gave President Xi the assurance that “we will always stand with China and trust you blindly.”

“Earlier, PM Kakar stated that Pakistan would collaborate with China and other regional allies to advance the principles of an open global economy and transcontinental connectivity.”

He made this statement during his speech at the high-level event of the Third Belt and Road Forum (BRF) on “Connectivity in an Open Global Economy.” “With shared responsibility and by embracing the vision of working together, we can create a brighter, peaceful, and sustainable future for ourselves and for our generations,” he said.

Representatives from 140 nations attended the two-day meeting, which began in Beijing and commemorated the Belt and Road Initiative’s ten years and its multibillion dollar cross-regional development.

Today, PM Kakar reaffirmed Pakistan’s “deep commitment” to China during his meeting with President Xi.

He described the ties between the two countries as “sweeter than honey” and as an “iron-clad brotherhood.”

“The kind of global difficulties that many countries are currently facing require answers; they need profound, long-lasting responses. The Belt and Road Initiative provides a response to each of these concerns, according to Kakar.

He suggested that Pakistan may gain insight into how a country can enhance the lives of millions of people from China’s long-term modernization policy.

Kakar reiterated that there was no “dissenting view” on the topic and that Pakistan will fully support China.

“President Xi’s Assurance of Support and Upcoming Visit to Pakistan”

Separately, Kakar stated in a post on X that “President Xi reassured that China would continue to support Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and development, and would continue to support us in utilising our geoeconomic potential and as a hub of regional trade and economics, which is our shared vision.”

The Chinese President had accepted his invitation to visit Pakistan as soon as possible, he continued.
