Anwaarul Haq Kakar, the interim prime minister, has said that illegal immigration is to blame for Pakistan’s socioeconomic problems, crime, and terrorism.
Kakar rules out talks with TTP: “Immigrants are also making positive contributions to the development of the nation. He told the media and a delegation from the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday at the Governor House of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, “We are sending the illegal immigrants to their countries for Pakistan and not to injure or create hostility with Afghanistan.
The government wishes to build and sustain relations with Afghanistan in accordance with international law, he continued. The removal of illegal immigrants does not imply a desire to sever ties with our adjacent nation.
Kakar said there were no plans to hold talks with the TTP, a banned terrorist organisation, in response to a query about how the state dealt with them.
“Those terrorists [TTP] are killing our children and we are also killing them, therefore nobody wants to talk to them. Even after 100 years, the state would still be able to defeat the [illegal] TTP, he added.
He added that the country would never forget the sacrifices made by the martyrs who gave their lives in defence of it, saying that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa heroically resisted terrorism for years.
“We shouldn’t be reluctant to make any sacrifices in order to uphold our values and advance the interests of the nation. We must set aside our individual interests, he continued.
In response to a query regarding the burning of people’s homes in tribal areas, Kakar stated that he had not heard of any reports of widespread house burning.
“There may be an odd event, but there aren’t hundreds of homes being set on fire. He continued, “I would order the IG and chief secretary to provide us with a reality-based report and take action against offenders.
