Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is addressing the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) virtual summit hosted by India.

PM Shehbaz addresses SCO virtual summit: Other nations present at the meeting include China and Russia. The SCO should work together to combat terrorism and not be afraid to denounce nations that sponsor terrorism, according to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier on Tuesday.

Additionally, Modi encouraged the leaders of the Eurasian political and security alliance to support Kabul with humanitarian supplies and strive for the welfare of Afghanistan.

At their virtual summit, Modi issued a warning to the leaders of the SCO, stating that they should not allow the use of Afghan soil to undermine the region surrounding it.

The Foreign Office claimed that PM Shehbaz’s participation “illustrates the high importance that Pakistan attaches to the SCO, as an important forum for regional security and prosperity, and enhanced engagement with the region” before to the summit.
