Thursday’s inauguration of the Bhara Kahu bypass by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was a historic event in Islamabad.

PM inaugurates Bhara Kahu bypass: The residents of Murree, Galyat, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir will benefit from less congested roads and more convenient mobility thanks to this transformative infrastructure initiative.

The 5.4-kilometer-long, complex project, which also has a 1350-meter overhead bridge, was finished in just 9 months.

They anticipate that the bypass, with a total cost exceeding Rs6 billion, will dramatically reduce traffic congestion and bring much-needed respite to commuters and tourists alike.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the project’s completion and possible effects on the area during the inauguration event.

He outlined the essential role the bypass will play in reducing Bhara Kahu’s traffic congestion, a persistent problem that affected both residents and visitors.

The prime minister noted that the acquisition of land, which proved to be a barrier in the project’s early stages, was one of the obstacles during the project’s implementation.

He emphasised that all development projects have experienced delays under the PML-N government because of a variety of problems.

He expressed dissatisfaction that they could not finish the project while previous Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was in office and stated that outside factors—possibly hinting at purported conspiracies—acted as a barrier.

Shehbaz Sharif also commended the army chief for his contribution to the Bhara Kahu bypass project’s accomplishment.

He asserted with assurance that rumours about his connections to the establishment had no bearing on his resolve to carry out development initiatives that benefited Pakistan’s citizens.

For locals and visitors to the picturesque regions of Murree, Galyat, and Azad Kashmir, the new bypass’s start-up operation offers a better, smoother travel experience.

The project’s successful completion demonstrates the government’s dedication to meeting infrastructure demands and improving connectivity throughout the nation, he continued.
