Isa’s profile as a justice

Justice Qazi Faez Isa, who was born in Quetta on October 26, 1959, is the son of the late Qazi Mohammad Isa of Pishin, a leader in the Pakistan Movement.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa became a member of the English and Welsh Bar (Middle Temple, 1982) and registered as a counsel based in Balochistan for both the Balochistan High Court and the Supreme Court. For more than 27 years, he represented clients before the Federal Shariat Court, the Supreme Court of Pakistan, and all of Pakistan’s High Courts.

He decided not to appear before judges who had broken their oath of office following the declaration of emergency on November 3, 2007. After the Supreme Court declared the action of November 3, 2007, unconstitutional, all the former judges of the High Court of Balochistan submitted their resignations. Afterward, on August 5, 2009, they promptly promoted Justice Isa to the position of Chief Justice of the High Court of Balochistan.

On September 5, 2014, Justice Qazi Faez Isa took his oath to serve as a judge of the Pakistani Supreme Court.
