The chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister filed a lawsuit against the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday to prevent the suspension of his interim bails in seven cases, including the attack on the Jinnah House case.
PTI chairman challenges bail in LHC: Through his attorney, Salman Safdar, the PTI chairman has contested the suspension of his interim bails. At 11 a.m. today, a two-member Lahore High Court bench will hear the PTI chairman’s applications.
The petition stated that they were victimizing the PTI chairman and that the cases had political undertones.
The petitioner has requested a court order so that the appropriate court will hear his meritorious interim bail pleas.
It is important to note that the anti-terrorism court permitted the detention of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman and denied PTI chairman’s bail requests in the May 9 cases.
Someone informed the court that the PTI premier, who had been found guilty under the Election Act, is presently in custody.
The ATC accepted the plea and gave police authority to launch an investigation into the Jinnah House attack case and arrest the former prime minister.
However, On August 5, authorities took PTI Chairman Khan into custody from his home in Lahore. This action followed his receiving of a five-year disqualification and a three-year prison sentence in the Toshakhana criminal case.
