The interior minister Rana Sanaullah claims Gen (retd) Bajwa and Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed supported Imran Khan until November 28, 2022, in remarks made on the program “Naya Pakistan” on Friday.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has agreed with Maryam Nawaz’s statement about the PML-N beginning its “real reign” following the retirement of former army head General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa.
In her speech at a rally on February 2, Maryam asserted that her party’s [real] reign began after November 28, when the supporters of Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan were still in power.
Despite Shehbaz Sharif’s appointment as prime minister and the functioning of the cabinet, “it is apparent that General (retd) Bajwa and General (retd) Faiz Hameed had been facilitating Imran Khan until November 28, 2022,” Sanaullah added.
“Khan has gone mad because he hasn’t been given any facilitation that was previously being offered to bring him on the streets,” the minister claimed. He stated that he intended to start a lengthy march and capture Islamabad with the help of this “facilitation.”
The PML-N leader claimed that certain people considered him to be their favourite, therefore up to November 26 he continued to perform one thing or another. He questioned Khan about the origins of his regime and its backers.
According to Sanaullah, Imran Khan’s long march was all about the selection of the next army chief, and he tried to undermine the institution in order to accomplish his objectives.
“Controversy Surrounds Imran Khan’s November 26 March and Blame on PML-N Government”
The federal minister questioned the Imran Khan-led lengthy march on November 26, considering it more than just a protest.
The minister claimed that the PML-N government at the Centre was mostly to blame for Imran Khan’s misadventures, including the one on May 25.
Note that the former commander of the army, Qamar Javed Bajwa, left his position on November 28, 2022. A few days later, former ISI director Faiz Hameed also voluntarily left the service.
