Rana sanaullah downplays the PTI’s “Jail Bharo” movement, claiming that 100 to 150 people courted arrest and 80% requested release. Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated on Sunday that the PTI leaders and members who willingly turned themselves in for arrest would be sent to remote jails first before being transferred to Lahore or Rawalpindi prisons.

The PTI’s “Jail Bharo” movement, which aims to raise awareness of the policies of the government and put pressure on the ruling coalition to call elections, has so far resulted in the detention of between 100 and 150 persons, according to the minister speaking at a press conference in Islamabad.

PTI leaders Read Bukhari and Chauhan were transferred to outlying Punjab prisons.

Sanaullah stated that all PTI drive participants had been placed in detention for 30 days and that 80% of those who had been arrested wanted to be released.

He added mockingly, “You wanted to go to jail, so you’re there. We’re taking you to jails so you may familiarise yourselves with the conditions there.

It should be noted that several petitions have been submitted to the Lahore High Court (LHC) expressing concerns that the PTI leaders and workers who have been detained may be falsely accused of participating in illegal activities to cause them “maximum harm,” and adding that they have been taken to “some unknown place” to “torture.”

In response to the purported intimate relationships that Elahi has with a Supreme Court judge, Sanaullah sought the high court to take suo motu notice.

Rana downplays the PTI’s “Jail Bharo” movement.

Imran Khan, the previous prime minister, is a trouble-maker who has never taken any action to improve the nation, the speaker remarked, turning his focus to Imran Khan.

He observed that Imran had threatened to invade the capital by bringing a sea of people, but that “now the people know him for what he is.”

Imran was accused of “promoting instability in the nation” by Sanaullah, who also described the “Jail Bharo” movement as a “great walk of humiliation.”
