Russia says the British tanks delivered to Ukraine shall burn

MOSCOW: The Kremlin declared on Monday that the British tanks delivered to Ukraine “will burn,” warning the West that providing Ukraine with more, more sophisticated weapons would not alter the direction of the conflict.

The United States and its allies have sent tens of billions of dollars worth of weapons, including rocket launchers, drones, armored vehicles, and communications systems, since President Vladimir Putin ordered soldiers into Ukraine on February 24.

On Saturday, Britain announced that in the following weeks, it would send 14 of its Challenger 2 main battle tanks as well as further modern artillery support.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, responded when asked about the British tanks, “They are using this country as an instrument to fulfill their anti-Russian ambitions.”

British tanks delivered to Ukraine: These tanks are blazing and will continue to burn, according to Peskov.

According to Peskov, the situation on the ground won’t alter as a result of the new supplies coming from nations like Britain and Poland.

Olaf Scholz, the chancellor of Germany, is under pressure to authorise the shipment of Leopard 2 combat tanks to Ukraine by Germany, which manufactures them, and other nations that have them. This would expand international military assistance to Kiev.
