Due to the rising Pink Eye infection cases in the province, Punjab will close both public and private schools tomorrow (Thursday).
Schools across Punjab closed tomorrow: The Punjab interim CM Mohsin Naqvi issued the directives ordering all schools in the province to remain closed.
“Teachers will start checking the children at the school’s main entrance on Monday to prevent the spread of the eye illness.”
Pink eye, sometimes referred to as conjunctivitis, is becoming more and more common in Punjab and other parts of the nation.
In the last 24 hours, Punjab’s Health Department has recorded a total of 85 new cases of conjunctivitis, commonly known as “pink eye,” highlighting a concerning rise in infections.
“Medical professionals have instructed patients to clean their eyes with the prescribed eye drops, tissues, and, if necessary, cold water.” The health department of the province government emphasised the use of hand sanitizers and issued a warning against touching one’s eyes without first washing hands properly.
The health department cautioned against sharing objects, such as pillows, clothes, medications, and bedding, with people who have eye infections. Further, “Medical professionals advised patients not to reuse facial products.”
