Rajkumar Hirani’s highly anticipated Dunki is expected to overshadow Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, directed by KGF fame, because the latter will be released on December 21.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki: On Friday, the movie’s poster—which featured Khan wearing a camouflage-colored bag and clutching a bag and a shopper—went popular on social media. “A soldier’s journey to keep a promise,” the poster read.

The director of the Munna Bhai television series and the Jawan actor have worked together on the social comedy Dunki for the first time. Salaar’s producers announced their release date, sparking rumors of a clash with the two films on December 22.

Action movie Salaar, which Prashant Neel is directing, has a similar tone to the KGF film series as shown in its teaser.

A source told the Indian media site that they made the decision in order to have an extra day off from competition, adding that it would spread the message more effectively.

In fact, the insider predicted, “people would be raving about Dunki and its content even before a single show of Salaar rolls out.” The source also predicted that Dunki would receive the premium screens.

According to Indian media estimates, Shah Rukh Khan, also referred to by his admirers as “King Khan,” will conclude the year on a high note after two of his films, Pathaan and Jawan, this year both grossed more than 1,000 Indian crore rupees overseas.

Casting director Mukesh Chhabra said to a media outlet earlier this week that they will discuss Dunki for the next ten years.

At the Red Sea International Film Festival the previous year, Shah Rukh Khan described the movie as “a big journey film that travels through different areas around the world and finally comes back home to India.”
