The authorities decided to the start training programs for the female drivers to make the female passengers of the pink buses, designed exclusively for women, feel safer.

The board also talked about the Peoples Bus Service’s second phase, which includes the introduction of an environmentally friendly electric taxi service and the addition of 500 new buses.

During the SMTA board meeting, they also discussed the status of the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.

Saleem Rajput, the transport secretary, Kamal Dayo, the managing director of the SMTA, Ahmed Nawaz Cheema, the director general of traffic, Sikandar Shaikh, and Tufail Paliju, the chief executive officer of Trans Karachi, were all present at the meeting.
