The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the timetable for the by-elections for the positions of UC chairman and vice chairmen in Sindh Local Government (LG).
Sindh LG by-poll schedule: According to the ECP, the by-elections for Sindh LG will select nine Union Council (UC) chairmen and 16 vice chairmen for all of Sindh on November 5.
There will be 74 general seats up for election in the province. On October 7, all nominations will have been submit.
The commission also released the calendar for the LG elections on the 812 reserved seats across 29 districts. Nominations must be submit by October 7 for consideration, and the election will take place on October 20.
The chief secretaries of the four provinces and the chief commissioner in Islamabad received instructions from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) earlier in the month to begin organising general elections for the last week of January 2024.
All four provincial chief secretaries and the chief commissioner of Islamabad received letters from the ECP requesting that they begin planning for the general elections.

General elections will take place in the final week of January 2024, according to a previous announcement by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
However, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced that it would issue the initial list for the delimitation of constituencies on September 27th after evaluating the work on the subject.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced that it would follow the 54-day election schedule, culminating in general elections in the final week of January 2024. They also mentioned that they would publish the final delimitation list on November 30.
