Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz, the interim health minister for Sindh, on Friday outlawed the use of cigarettes, mainpuri, and gutka throughout the province while on duty.
Smoking Gutka Banned in Sindh Govt Offices: The interim Sindh health minister expressed his displeasure with the medical staff’s use of gutka and cigarettes at public sector workplaces and hospital facilities.
The Sindh High Court mandated a complete prohibition on the sale of Gutka and Mainpuri throughout the province. In this regard, Dr. Irshad Memon, DG of Health Sindh, has issued directives in writing to the relevant departments.
It’s noteworthy that the Sindh High Court issued a mandate for the complete prohibition of Gutka and Mainpuri sales throughout the province.
The SHC was considering a request to ban the sale of gutka and mainpuri throughout the province.
