Squarespace Acquires Google Domains: What This Means for Users

Must Read

Google Domains, an excellent platform for launching business websites, is exiting the business and selling to Squarespace.

As per Squarespace’s declaration, the transfer will encompass 10 million domains from Google, expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2023.

Under the signed agreement, Squarespace has committed to maintaining the current customer pricing for at least 12 months post-purchase and transfer. To ensure a smooth transition, Squarespace plans to leverage Google’s infrastructure.

Squarespace is set to become the sole partner for those intending to buy website domains, including Google Workspace domains.

Present customers can continue to use Google’s billing support for now but will gradually need to transition to Squarespace’s billing system.
