Hazara Electric Company: PM has launched new project for Electricity

ISLAMABAD: At a ceremony for the founding of the Hazara Electric Company (HAZEC), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday that the foundation of HAZECO has satisfied a long-standing demand of the Hazara people, and we will finish all formalities in this respect right away.

Hazara Electric Company: The new business, which has a total area of about 16,774 square kilometers, will serve 726,000 customers in the areas of Haripur, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Battagram, Torgarh, Kohistan Upper, Kohistan Lower, and Kolai Plus.

Energy Minister Engineer Khurram Dastgir announced that a 765KV grid was ready to be launched in Mansehra. He also claimed that the current administration had continued the development process that the PTI government had halted.

At the occasion, PM Sharif asked for the business community’s assistance in implementing an energy-conservation plan. The plan calls for early market and restaurant closings. The goal is to ensure the wise use of domestic resources and lower the cost of imports. PM Sharif emphasized the importance of conserving energy and asked for the business community’s cooperation in implementing the plan.

“I implores businesspeople to support the government more fully” (for energy conservation). The prime minister believes that cutting down on oil imports will lower the dollar rate. We will use the saved money to improve the nation’s agriculture and healthcare sectors. The prime minister stated that this is a priority for the country.
