MIRPUR: According to the president of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, the ongoing liberation fight will carry on with india till the people of the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) attain their freedom objective.

The AJK President described the Kashmiris’ continuous struggle as a genuine indigenous movement while speaking at a ceremony in London to mark Indian Republic Day as a “dark day,” according to the AJK President’s office on Friday.

According to Barrister Sultan, India has utterly failed to repress the liberation struggle in Kashmir despite employing all available oppressive measures.

The president declared that India’s apartheid dictatorship had further plunged the region into continuous instability, uncertainty, and lawlessness by taking the unilateral decision to abolish Occupied Kashmir’s special status, which was against the letter and the spirit of UN Security Council resolutions.

“He claimed that once he repealed Articles 370 and 35A, he turned the whole valley of Kashmir and its neighboring Muslim-majority areas into an open-air jail with the imposition of a debilitating siege and communication blockade.”

He claimed that the Indian government had taken away their right to life while political, social, and economic activity in the valley remained severely curtailed.

The president spoke to Kashmiris’ fortitude and resolve in the face of state-sponsored violence, saying that in spite of the Indian government’s repressive tactics, Kashmiris haven’t wavered one inch from their position.

He remarked, “The people of Kashmir have stood their stand with courage and fortitude.” The president said that it was past time for the international community to take responsibility for aiding in a peaceful resolution of the ongoing conflict in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.
