QUETTA: For the Pakistan Super League (PSL) exhibition game in the provincial capital, the Balochistan administration has developed a strict security plan.

In this regard, the security plans review meeting for the game was presided over on Thursday by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Quetta Azfar Mahesar.

On February 5, the game will take place in Quetta’s Nawab Akbar Bugti stadium.

DIG Quetta promised foolproof security for the cricket matches so that residents could take in the action.

No one will be permitted inside the stadium without a ticket, and the gate number listed on the ticket will be used for access, according to a briefing from DIG to the meeting.

Without a sticker, “no car will be allowed to enter the stadium,” Mahesar declared.

The cricket enthusiasts allege that it is tough for them to obtain tickets for the game. This exhibition game will be place at the Akbar Bugti stadium in Quetta on February 5.

The PSL game will bring much-needed entertainment to Quetta, which is a great step, according to DIG.

People have been warned not to bring water bottles with any other flag within the ground than the Pakistani flag.

“In order to prevent any unexpected incident, security will be heightened both in Quetta city and around the stadium.”

The DIG also recommended that locals work with the security forces stationed at various locations.

To keep the district’s peace, the Balochistan government has sent out thousands of police officers and members of the Frontier Corps (FC). Numerous thousands of cricket enthusiasts flocked to Akbar Bugti Stadium to buy tickets.

Ibrahim, a local, stated, “I have been waiting since the morning to acquire the ticket.”

“Cricket fans lined up outside the stadium in lengthy queues.”

Police have occasionally used baton charges to disperse crowds.
