TikTokers, YouTubers, and other social media influencers are not allowed inside the National Assembly premises, according to the secretariat of the body.

Information suggests that non-accredited social media influencers would not be permitted on the grounds of the national assembly.

On December 23, 2022, certain unofficial YouTubers and social media influencers got into a fight with some MPs, which resulted in the ban that followed.

The National Assembly Secretariat has decided to increase security. To do so, only accredited media organizations and their staff members (reporters, journalists, and media personnel) will be admitted. This is the measure taken by the National Assembly Secretariat to enhance security.

For entry to the Parliament Buildings, social media influencers must first get a PID. To cover its proceedings, social media influencers must also get a session card. These are the requirements for entry and coverage of proceedings inside the Parliament Buildings.
