The Islamabad High Court appointed Humayun Dilawar, the individual who found PTI Chairman Imran Khan guilty in the Toshakhana criminal case, as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
Toshakhana case judge transferred Islamabad High Court: The Islamabad High Court has requested that Dilawar appear. He will start working on his new project right now. He was employed by Islamabad as an additional district and session judge (west).
In the Toshakhana criminal case, he sentenced the PTI leader to a five-year disqualification and a three-year prison term while working as an additional district and session judge in Islamabad.
On August 5, Dilawar, who had sentenced PTI leader Imran Khan to three years in prison, took a flight to the United Kingdom to take part in training.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court recommended him to attend the ‘Judicial Training on Human Rights and the Rule of Law,’ scheduled from August 5 to August 13.
It is important to note that the Pakistani Supreme Court discovered “flaws” in the ruling against Khan that resulted in his conviction and imprisonment. But it opted against stepping in right away.
On August 23, the highest court heard a number of petitions Imran Khan submitted in the Toshakhana issue.
One of the arguments disputed the ruling of the session court, and another questioned the rulings of the Islamabad High Court.
Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial made the following statement at the hearing: “In retrospect, the trial court rendered a ruling in a single day that was not correct; there are errors in the decision of the trial court.
