Toyota establishes hybrid vehicles in Pakistan: With an investment of $100 million, Toyota Indus Motors has set up Pakistan’s first hybrid vehicle manufacturing facility, which will soon begin production.
Yoshiki Konishi, president of Toyota Asia, and Ali Asghar Jamali, CEO of Indus Motors, stated this during their meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday in Islamabad.
Speaking at the event, the prime minister said Pakistan views Japan as a crucial ally for its prosperity and progress.
He said that hybrid automobile production in Pakistan will lower the nation’s gasoline import expenses.
