Georgia has also leveled charges against Mark Meadows, Trump’s chief of staff, and John Eastman, a conservative attorney. The charges accuse them of conspiring to submit a fictitious slate of Trump electors to Congress from Georgia, instead of the legitimate Biden electors as required by law.

During the Republican primary season, which starts in January, and the height of the campaign for the November 2024 presidential election, Trump will be the subject of four criminal prosecutions.
Special counsel Jack Smith has scheduled Trump’s trial in Washington for January 2024, focusing on allegations of plotting to rig the 2020 election. This accusation stems from a campaign of lies that culminated in his followers’ attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Trump’s legal team has responded with a start date of April 2026, which is far beyond the 2024 election.
US District Judge Tanya Chutkan is expect to preside over Monday’s hearing, during which they will likely determine a date for the first-ever criminal trial of a former president.
The district attorney for Fulton County, Willis, has slated the commencement of the racketeering case for March 2024, coinciding with Trump’s expected trial in New York during the same month. The trial pertains to allegations of Trump paying hush money to Stormy Daniels on the day of the 2016 election.
In May, they have scheduled Trump’s trial in Florida for allegedly stealing official documents as he departed the White House and failing to relinquish them.
