Imran Khan was hit with a water bottle on Monday at the district and sessions court in Islamabad.
Water bottle thrown on PTI Chairman: Imran Khan was attacked with a water bottle as he was on his way to the Islamabad District Courts, which are located in G-11.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan was shielded from gunfire on all sides, including the top, by bulletproof sheilds. As he entered the court on a lower floor, the bottle was thrown at him from above.
According to reports, Imran was not struck by the bottle. The bottle’s thrower was not immediately recognised.
Khan’s security has previously been a source of concern for him and his legal team.
Imran was present in the district court for Judge Humayun Dilawar’s court to hear the Toshakhana case. Imran Khan was absent from the proceedings but Dilawar noted his attendance.
In Judge Malik Aman’s court, he also made an appearance in the judge-threatening case. Imran Khan’s attorney informed the judge that the PTI leader arrived at the premises but was unable to ascend because of security concerns.
Judge Aman responded that the argument would have been accepted if the courts were still housed in the crowded F-8 facility, but that is no longer the case. Imran Khan should be brought up, he continued, and the court will wait for him.
