Adil Farooq Raja, a YouTuber, was detained in London for waging a defamation campaign against Pakistan’s government institutions.
Adil Raja arrested in London: Scotland Yard apprehended the contentious YouTuber Raja. The detectives called him to be questioned about his alleged involvement in inciting violence on YouTube and other websites.
It is important to note that Raja was also charged in various Pakistani cases for encouraging people to fight against the government.
Islamabad police detained Raja and other Pakistanis living abroad on Monday for inciting disobedience to the government.
Muhammad Aslam, a resident of G-11, filed a police report at the Ramana police station. Shaheen Sehbai, Haider Raza Mehdi, Wajahat Saeed Khan, and Adil Farooq Raja, four overseas Pakistanis, have been named in the case on terrorism and sedition-related accusations.
According to the FIR, Raja and other individuals outside Pakistan attempted to instigate disorder in Pakistan by inciting people against defense institutions. The FIR stated that the accused were “playing into the hands of foreign hostile agencies.”
However, Raja left Pakistan in April of the previous year. Furthermore, He was well-known for spreading misinformation about government institutions as part of sinister schemes to destabilize Pakistan. Recently, his YouTube channel was also blocked for disinformation.
