Zelensky arrives in US to meet Biden, attend UN meetings

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky travelled to New York on Monday before speaking to the UN General Assembly and having a meeting with US President Joe Biden.

Zelensky arrives US to meet Biden: Since Moscow’s invasion began in February of last year, Zelensky has made two trips to the US, which has given Kiev weapons to confront Russia.

In reference to his trip with his wife, Zelensky wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Olena Zelenska and I arrived in the United States for the high-level week of the UN General Assembly and a visit to Washington DC.”

He stated, “I will take part in a number of significant bilateral discussions as well as the General Assembly, Sustainable Development Goals Summit, and Security Council meetings at the UN.

On Tuesday, Zelensky is schedule to address the General Assembly.

“Ukraine will put out a concrete proposal to UN members on how to strengthen the principle of territorial integrity and enhance the UN’s ability to thwart and stop aggression,” he said.

Zelensky stated that he will pay a visit to Ukrainian servicemen “undergoing treatment and rehabilitation” in the US before beginning his trip there.

Scheduled to visit Washington later, the head of Ukraine will meet with Biden and other “leaders of the US Congress and parties, military leadership, American businesses, journalists, and members of the Ukrainian community.”

Zelensky stated, “I will thank the US for its leadership in assisting our fight for freedom and independence.
